Share Your Story

Nothing fancy here.

Email me a couple of paragraphs about your engineering or science-y childhood. You may have one or two specific recollections, or just a general impression that spans a number of years. Any approach you care to take is valid.

Or maybe you are or were the spouse of an engineer? Wow! You may have served as the buffer between the scientist and the "real" world. Even "just friends" of Adult Children of Engineers have been known to tell stories - let's hear 'em!

There are no rules or requirements for submissions, but here are a few guidelines:

  1. Nothing mean or dishonorable will be published, unless it's really, really funny.
  2. Submissions may be edited for length or content.
  3. Photos are welcome. I'll fix up the visuals if they're low-contrast or damaged; just send me a scan with a caption.
  4. Not required, but to add context to your story, please include:
    • approximate year, era, or span of time, and
    • general geographic locale.

I look forward to hearing from you!
